Highly relatable. I'm sure you've seen that Jemima Kirke quote that went viral where she said unconfident young women might be thinking about themselves too much, but I must say that it has helped me so much with self image. Obviously, it's to the beauty industries advantage that we obsess about ourselves. Our society is that way by design, but I genuinely think that if we started focusing on acts of service and helping other people, we would stop obsessing about ourselves so much and realize that the way we look is not that important. Like AA for self image. I don't mean to sound self righteous or idealistic because I still struggle with feeling like I can buy my way into confidence and the forces we are working against are STRONG. But I really believe that refocusing all that energy we put into ourselves into being good friends and partners and members of our communities would be a revolutionary act and might help us to escape the maze.

It seems like it's easier to love yourself and your perceived flaws when you love as many things as you possibly can-- as wisely as you can, and focus as much as you can on what you love, and whatever makes you feel loved. In this way you are training your brain to feel good more often, for example I love writing goofy things.. so dis iz jut sum reccomandadd tings dat i ben pacticing my Slavik sista.~ Ow owwww!~
