The hungriest of us are curious about our own desire: its novelty, its nature, duration. We want to know how it has morphed and changed from Sappho all the way to the intelligence age and algorithmic hyperawareness.
What is female desire as a theme and a structure? Is it ambivalent or direct, steady or ephemeral — and what’s that symptomatic of? Does it get flattened online or expressed more freely?
What does female desire look like today in a world where women are being sold Meta glasses and VC-backed shopping plugins presented as revolutionary tech inventions?

We will be dissecting desire in the ephemeral digital through my favorite literature, media, and pop culture gems, from Anne Carson to Caroline Polachek and tech memes. Probably the only online event where you’ll get this range of references. Just saying….
All participants receive the syllabus ahead of the event to get familiar with the material, and everyone gets the opportunity to talk/chat/connect/reflect/ask and answer questions. Or simply listen with your camera & mic off if you feel like it — we’re in the ephemeral digital, after all.
